Started by Martha Elizabeth Evans back in 1911, in the butchers market in Wrexham as a cheese stall.
Martha was the great grandmother of current business owner Mike .
Her son William Henry Evans then took on the business and also had 2 shops outside of the market in the town centre and a bakery in stansty, Wrexham.
He was also the mayor of Wrexham in the centenary year and was chairman at Wrexham football club for a period of time.
In the late 70s John Michael Evans took over with Gwyneth Elizabeth Evans. They became successful and grew the market stall, also opening a traditional butchers in Henblas Street and a wholesale business around North Wales and the North West.
Mike took over the family business in the late 90s and continued to strengthen and develop the market stall to great success.
In April 2011 Mike opened a shop in Overton which is where the business operates from now. Unfortunately the Covid 19 pandemic closed the market hall business. Having started as a very traditional butchers shop, the business is continually evolving and developing the produce it has available, to suit the modern customer.
